CMID redesigned the lighting over the primary clarifier tanks. Due to the large footprint of the tanks, high mast lighting was utilized. The collector tank motors were replaced and the MCCs retrofitted to provide adequate power. Lighting and power in the tunnel beneath the tanks was replaced, and an antiquated MCC in the tunnel was removed. Remaining circuits were rerouted to existing and new MCCs located elsewhere in the plant.
The existing scum handling building was replaced. CMID designed the electrical and lighting, which involved considerations to the caustic environment typically found in the wastewater facility. A new MCC was designed, and electrical loads had to be extended from the existing building to the new building when necessary.
