CMID Inc. provided design engineering services, as a sub consultant, for the Landside Storm Drainage System at the Indianapolis International Airport, associated with the construction of the New Midfield Terminal project. This project included the construction of approximately 3185 feet of armorflex lined open channel, 214 foot long conspan structure and approximately 13,320 linear feet of enclosed storm sewer consisting of reinforced concrete box and pipe sections, ranging from 6 ft x18 ft cross-section to 36-inch diameter, with vaults, manholes and casting.
CMID's services included the following:
- Preparation of conceptual construction details of central collector and main arterial enclosed channel sections,
- Structural design for drainage related structures for enclosed channels and arterial drains,
- Preparation of construction estimates of the conceptual central collector system
- Construction administration including bid preparation and shop drawing review
